How Wonder Makers Boosted Productivity by Migrating From Notion to t0ggles

#About the Company

We are a digital product studio focused on developing high-end web and Web3 solutions, including mobile and web applications, as well as one-of-a-kind design work in branding, 3D, illustration, motion, and animation. Our focus spans the gaming industry as well, what would be the business without a little fun?

We are proud to cooperate with great companies such as PlayStation, Immutable, Avalanche, AMGI, and Mercedes-Benz, among others, but we don't shy away from bold start-up ideas either.

#Why Migrate to t0ggles

With the beginning of the third quarter of 2024, we have decided that our project management has to change diametrically. Because we were still using Notion as our main IS our operations were bulky and stiff and the need for a new system became prominent.

What seemed simple pipelines to create were tediously difficult to manage in Notion and the administrative work to keep the IS running highly outweighed the benefits of having the system.

The main reason to migrate thus was to simplify our approach, thinking, and software. t0ggles looked good on paper and we — as a tech company — instantly fell in love with the intuitiveness and style of t0ggles.

#How t0ggles Helps With Project Management

For the sake of an example, we have prepared two use cases that we want to showcase.

#Client's Work

Following the logical structure of the company we have separated the client's work into a separate dashboard which now holds all client's projects that are conveniently accessible by one click to get the overview of the project.

Creating a pipeline is a matter of a few minutes by setting up statuses for tasks in the dashboard management. We knew what we wanted to go for, so we have predefined four stages for tasks (backlog, in progress, review, and done). Free of any unwanted complications.

The character of our projects follows a clear structure that derives our single types of work: pages which could include components or features, design assets, basic tasks, feedback, and finally meetings. All this can also be conveniently adjusted in the dashboard management.

Additionally, we were able to customize necessary fields for both projects and tasks meaning that links that should be clicked away, are. We want to emphasize this, Vercel deploys — at the top of the project column (sweet!), Gdrive links (included in tasks), Figma files (included in tasks) everything is where you want it on click away na-ti-ve-ly. All this with custom icons so that everyone knows where they are going.

t0gles gives you a simplified way to manage your projects. We have been able to set up the tool and do the onboarding just below the two-week limit. It shows that this tool is tailored for agile development and it does it well.

#What Would Be Possible

Even though the software stands strong with its simplicity against its competitors, there is still room to grow.

Following the best practices of project management, the absence of a knowledge base is felt when using t0ggles. Improvements that allow for tagging and better linking KB posts to tasks would be neat indeed.

The other topic on its own, are templates. With optimized companies the necessity of streamlined workflows increases. We are not talking about closed shells of companies with restricting processes but improving on project boot-up times with easy-to-structure templates for projects.

#Value

A great way of proving that some system works is that you don't hear about it. A controversial statement but as of today we have successfully migrated and we don't hear many complaints, we just use it. Usually, when we do bring something up it's a lack of some feature that we soberly take as a possible future update that is on the way (it usually is in a matter of weeks!).

Since we are early adopters, we had the chance to closely discuss our needs and missing features with Vladimir directly as he was kind enough to listen to our needs and helped us implement these features. All of these were on the spectrum from nice-to-have to essential. We see great value, especially in this development approach that shows a big potential for a building supportive community and features made for real-life use cases.

With that said we like using t0ggles and that itself is a big value that we feel daily. We wish for it to grow in the future and simplify organizations on the way.🤞
